Observations:
February 2015 – Ferlin played in his first-ever NHL game this week when the right-winger logged 13 minutes of ice time on the Bruins' fourth line. It was a quiet debut – no points or shots, and three hits. Ferlin may get an extended run with the Bruins given their current injuries, so he has a real chance to make a statement. Michael Boeckler
February 2015 – Ferlin signed a two-year entry level deal with the B's last March and is gaining experience and confidence in his first year as a pro in Providence. Ferlin will likely never be a huge scorer but he's got size, toughness and a cannon for a shot. He'll get a long look at traning camp next fall. Michael Boeckler
March 2014 – Ferlin is having his best offensive year at Cornell, with career highs in both goals (13) and points (27). Ferlin has added bulk this year, though he is still not an overly-aggressive player. He should debut in Providence next year and is projected to become a third-line player should his development continue as planned. Michael Boeckler
March 2012 – Ferlin, born in the hockey hotbed of Jacksonville, Florida, has good size and puck skills. The ECAC Rookie of the Year for the 2011-12 season, Ferlin posted 21 points in 26 games for Cornell. Ferlin works hard, but his hockey sense is average at best at this point. There is some potential, but could be awhile.
Fantasy Outlook: C+
Ferlin is several years away from attempting to crack an NHL roster.
