Observations:
February 2015 – Vail has struggled to find himself a role in Pro hockey up to this point, he has been reduced to finding his game in the ECHL as he has come up empty in an 11 game career in the AHL. Vail has shown an ability to be responsible, but not enough to secure a role for the Marlies. He has work to do, but he is only in his rookie season and will be given many more chances in the future, but not likely under NHL contracts until he cements his value in the AHL. Jason Banks

September 2014 – The Toronto Marlies (AHL) signed Brady Vail to a professional contract. Brendan Ross
June 2014 – Brady Vail was not signed by the Montreal Canadiens indicating that he will be re-enter the 2014 NHL Draft. Brendan Ross
April 2014 – After his Windsor Spitfires were eliminated in four straight playoff games by the London Knights, Brady Vail will join the Hamilton Bulldogs on an Amateur Tryout. His audition with the Bulldogs will be extremely important for the former 4th round selection as he still hasn’t signed an entry-level contract with the organization. In four post-season games, Brady Vail registered one goal and two points and wasn’t much of a factor. He will need to continue to play a smarter two-way game as he is prone to losing concentration at times and cheating defensively. Furthermore, improvements in his one-on-one attacks would certainly improve his game as he tends to rely on his shot and outside speed a little too much. Brendan Ross
March 2014 – In the 2014 OHL Coaches Poll, Brady Vail received recognition in the Western Conference Most Underrated Player (1st) and Western Conference Best on Faceoff (2nd) categories. Brady Vail posted career highs in goals (32), assists (51), points (83) and plus/minus (plus-29). He still struggles with consistency in his game but was leaned on to provide offense in Windsor this season. As of middle March, Brady Vail had not been extended an entry level contract offer and is slated to become a free agent this off-season. Brendan Ross
April 2013 – Brady Vail is a defensive-minded forward with a mediocre offensive game. The effectiveness in his own end along with decent size will give him opportunities to make it in the NHL in a bottom-six role. Following a career best 55-point campaign with Windsor of the OHL this year, Vail recently joined the AHL’s Hamilton Bulldogs on an amateur tryout contract and has a goal and an assist along with a plus-2 rating in six games. He is a few years away from contributing if he ever does. Eric Daoust
Fantasy Outlook: D+
Does not have a lot of offensive upside and may only have value in deep roto leagues that can take advantage of his defensive abilities.
