Observations:

June 2014 – Coda Gordon was not signed by the Calgary Flames indicating that he will be re-enter the 2014 NHL Draft. Gordon had 26 goals and 71 points (59 games) playing in his third season with the Swift Current Broncos. Brendan Ross

March 2013 – Gordon has an incredible sense of the net and is very quick to get in front of the goaltender. He spends a great amount of time in the slot and has a gifted scoring touch. Gordon is a smart player on the ice and a sharp passer. The main knock on Gordon is his skating. He still seems off balanced at times but coaches say his upsides outweigh this fixable downside. The other issue which can be adjusted as well is his size. For as aggressive as he is in front of the net, adding bulk will only make him more dangerous. Pete Richmire

November 2012 – Coda Gordon has quickly supplanted himself as a legitimate scorer in the WHL. He made an immediate impact with the Swift Current Broncos, scoring 30 goals and 53 points as a rookie last year. He has picked up right where he left off with five goals and 17 points in 18 games already this year. Gordon is a power forward style of player with an excellent scoring touch around the net.  Gordon’s weaknesses lie in his lackluster skating and limited physical game. He will continue to be a big contributor for the Broncos for the next couple of seasons. Zenon Herasymiuk

Fantasy Outlook: C-

As Gordon develops as a skater and adds size, his presence in the slot means bad news for the opposition. He already has the shot and ice sense to be a threat on every shift. Will need to find his niche at the next level.
