Observations:

April, 2012 – After earning playoff MVP in the SEL and leading Brynas to its first title in 13 years, Silfverberg was called to Ottawa to help with their own playoff run. He saw some time with Jason Spezza and Milan Michalek, indicating the type of role that the Sens have in mind for him down the road. His ice time was naturally limited, but he showed that he has a gritty side to go with his scoring touch. – Dobber

April, 2012 – Jakob Silfverberg is a very good two-way forward with exceptional hockey sense. He has very strong shot and is a great playmaker. He boasts a solid all-around game and can be used in both powerplay and penalty kill situations. He has a good frame and can play gritty when he needs to. He was named the 2011-12 SEL most valuable player, posting 54 points in 49 games with Brynnas IF. The Sens wanted him to play in North American this past season, but this time they should be successful in getting him over here.

Fantasy Outlook: B+

Could be a scoring line winger in the NHL as early as next season.
