March 2014 – Paul Postma has finally returned after having an injury-riddled season. He played a game on February 8th but was shelved again for another month. In his first game back earlier this month, he earned two assists. Look for him to get his legs back under him and adjust back to the NHL lifestyle. Postma has underrated skill he has been unable to display this season, so keep a close eye on him for the remainder of the year. –Kevin Won

January 2014 – After being diagnosed with a blood clot for three months, Postma is back skating and should be slated to return soon. He has only suited up for eight games so far this season. Kevin Won

July 2013 – Paul Postma has agreed to a two-year contract extension worth 1.425 million with the Winnipeg Jets. He managed nine points in 34 games, four of which were on the powerplay. This season he was utilized on a third-pairing/second-PP role. With the likes of Enstrom, Byfuglien, Clitsome, and Trouba likely to crack the line-up, look for him to continue under the same role. Kevin Won

April 2013 – Postma’s strong play in the AHL managed to earn him a spot in the shortened NHL season. Most of his time has been spent on the third pairing with either Grant Clitsome or Mark Stuart. He had a strong first half (posting five points in eight games) but has since lost most of his PP opportunity and has been scratched for the majority of March. This is all part of the growing pains when first breaking into the league, so it should be a matter of time before the PP quarterback sees another shot at more ice time. Kevin Won

July 2012 – Postma has resigned with Winnipeg. He will compete in camp with veterans Derek Meech, Grant Clitsome (Dobber favorite) and Brett Festerling for regular and depth duties. Give Postma the advantage as he has good upside to produce and Winnipeg will need to score to keep pace with Washington, Tampa and Carolina this season. Postma has scored 40 goals in 3 season in the AHL, only Dustin Byfuglien had more than 6 goals on the Jets back end last season. Jason Banks

April 2012 – Postma is an offensive defenseman. In his final season of junior he posted 84 points in 70 games. He has made significant improvement in his play away from the puck and was called up for three NHL games in 2011-2012.  Needs to continue to add bulk and aggression to establish an NHL career. After being a late cut from training camp in 2011, Postma was named as a first team All-Star in the AHL. Rich Dillon

Fantasy Outlook: C+

His skating and offensive ability are NHL level. An NHL depth defenseman with fantasy value.
