Maxime Sauve, C |

Shoots: L |
Height: 5-11 |
Weight: 170 |
Born: 1990-1-30 |
Hometown: Tours, FRN |
Drafted: 2008 2nd round 47th overall – Boston Bruins |
Observations:
June 2014 – Following the expiry of his entry-level deal after last season, Sauve was not given a second contract by the Blackhawks. He attempted to latch on with Anaheim this season but ended up back in the AHL with his third team in two years. Despite being a second rounder in 2008, he has just one NHL game to his name thus far and appears unlikely to ever make an impact at the NHL level. Matt Donohue
April 2013 – With Chicago looking toward another deep playoff run, they have gone out and added Sauve to the bank of prospects they will be able to recall that has upside. Temporarily he will help out the Rockford IceHogs and their playoff hopes. Questions still remain about when he will put his talent to proper use. Jason Banks
March 2012 – Sauve toned his game in the major ranks of the QMJHL before embarking on his pro career. He is currently in his second season with the Providence Bruins (AHL) who has the skill set to make the big club in the future. Sauve is a very speedy, skilled center man with a good set of hands, vision and toughness. The unfortunate right now is that his early pro career has been hampered with injury.
While he has potential, it is highly unlikely that he will ever make the NHL full-time.
