Jamie Arniel, C

Shoots: R

Weight: 187

Born: 1989-11-16

Observations:

July 2012 – The Bruins elected not to tender Arniel a qualifying offer and he is an unrestricted free agent. – Dobber

March 2012 – Arniel is not a new name to the NHL, as his uncle Scott played several seasons. He produced fairly respectable numbers in his OHL tenure in both Guelph and Sarnia. The positive on Arniel is that he can play many roles on the ice as he is solid at both ends of the ice. He holds a heavy shot and is trying to develop a more of a consistent scoring touch in Providence.

Fantasy Outlook: D+

Arniel is a steady two-way player with much versatility, although lacks a true scoring touch.

2008 Fantasy Prospects Report:

Scouting Report

Jamie Arniel was a DobberHockey favorite last year as a 17 year-old with the Guelph Storm. A diligent two-way forward who prefers to tail behind the play and pick up the garbage, Arniel threw any and all good will away with a terrible 2007-08 that saw him traded due to a wish for ice-time, only to flounder when given that ice-time with his new team. Above-average wheels and a quick release are the only thing keeping a former potential first rounder in the top ninety. A conversion to wing at the pro level is likely necessary as it is, as Arniel’s faceoff skills are not adequate.
